Love it was,

Swathed in candy floss -

Molten thoughts spun around 

To fall as trailing threads 

Of the deepest passion. 

Love it was,

Soaked in the sweet nectar 

Of a blossom 

That had found its way 

Through the mesh of dark thoughts. 

Love it was 

And still is - 

A deep, silent togetherness

That sighs occasionally

In the Autumn light,

Awaiting Winter's embrace.
